Plainfield Economic Partnerships (PEP) was established to serve the Village of Plainfield as an authority in all matters related to economic development including: business retention, recruitment and expansion; promotion and marketing of the community to prospective employers and retailers; fostering a positive business climate within the community; and diversifying the Village’s tax base and employment opportunities.

With this purpose in mind, PEP is focussed on the following goals:

• Retention and Expansion of Local Business

Objective: To build a relationship among the PEP, the Village Board, Chamber of Commerce, MainStreet, School District and the Plainfield business community that encourages the exchange of information for the purpose of promoting the retention and expansion of the local tax base and employment opportunities.

• Attraction of New Business

Objective: To establish an effective Business Recruitment Plan which will promote and market the Village of Plainfield to businesses and developers who are searching for potential sites for their business facility or commercial development.
